AIH

Any model, one coding agent

Plug in OpenAI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter or a model running on your own machine. AIH reads your code, runs your tests and makes the changes, and asks before it does anything you haven’t allowed. No sign-up.

Free. On macOS for now, with Windows and Linux on the way.

The AIH window: a session migrating tests to vitest stops to ask before running the test suite, with Deny, Always allow and Allow once.
It asks before it runs anything you haven't allowed.

Bring the model you like

Give it an address, a key and a model name. Anything that speaks the OpenAI chat format works, in the cloud or on your own machine. Switch models in the middle of a chat.

What it does

Everything a coding agent needs, in an app you can see into.

Works in your project
Reads, searches and edits your files, and asks before it changes anything you haven't allowed.
Runs and checks
Runs commands, tests and dev servers in its own terminal, and you can watch or step in.
Sees your app
Opens your dev server in a built-in browser, clicks through it and reads the console.
Searches the web
Free, with nothing to set up. Or use your own Serper, Brave or Tavily key.
Connects to your tools
GitHub, Linear, Notion and more, each signed in with one click.
Shows what a chat costs
Every chat shows its cost, as your provider reports it or at the prices you set.

Connect the tools you use

Click Connect, approve on the service's own page, and the agent can read your issues, docs and errors. Sign-ins stay encrypted on your machine.

Your code stays yours

On your machine
Your code, files and keys stay on your machine. There's no account and nothing to sync.
Straight to your provider
Chats go from your machine to the model provider you set up, and nowhere else.
No search log
The free web search passes your query on and keeps no record of what was searched or by whom.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. The app is free. You pay your model provider for what you use, if it charges; a model running on your own machine costs nothing.

Do I need an account?

No. Add a model's address and key and start. Connectors only sign in to their own service when you connect them.

Which models work best?

Models built for coding and tool use, with a long context: the strong coding models from OpenAI, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral and others. Small local models are fine for simpler tasks.

Does my code leave my machine?

Only what the agent sends to your model provider as part of a chat. Nothing is sent to us, except the text of a web search when you use the free search.

Can I stop it from changing things?

Yes. By default it asks before editing files or running commands, and you choose per action: allow once, always allow, or deny. A plan mode lets it read and propose without changing anything.

Windows or Linux?

They’re on the way. For now AIH runs on macOS 13 or later with Apple silicon.
